The Tara Garden was created in 2024 from a small piece of waste ground at the verge of the road adjacent to the roundabout into the retail centre. It visually enhances this busy intersection and also provides a pollinator friendly garden.
The weeping willow trees at either end of the garden were donated by a local resident. The tree trunk feature, used for decoration, was washed up on the beach.

The area behind the garden is left unattended and acts as a natural habitat with no intrusion by people. A trail camera was set up as part of a biodiversity review and the below images of wildlife including foxes and badgers were discovered passing by.
Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes
Foxes have a lean, agile, dog-like build.
European badger, Meles meles
Nocturnal creatures, belong to the mustelid family (the same family as otters, weasels, and ferrets) and are famous for being incredibly skilled diggers.
